취약보육 대안 마련을 위한 저소득가정 영유아보육 실태조사 연구

Abstract

This study aimed to review the current status of child care among low income families and to analyze the achievement of in-home child care providers dispatched by the National Female Workers Association. The National Female Workers Association, trained female workers in low income families and dispatched to low income families who need child care support for employment with financial support of NGO. Priorities was given to for the handicapped children.

Main research methods used to collect data were interview survey on 1,000 low income families including 135 families in-home child care providers were dispatched.

As the government support child care for young children the enrollment of child care centers among low income families are similar to other groups. While, opportunities of enrollment of private education and care centers among primary school children were not high.

As of in-home child care providers dispatched by the National Female Workers Association, this study evaluate that they contribute greatly to enhance the status of children as well as parents and familes. Children cared by them showed positive changes on cognitive, emotional
