유아교육 전공자 어머니의 육아 경험 의미

Abstract

본 연구는 유아교육을 전공하고 유아교사 경험이 있는 어머니들이 자녀를 낳아 기르는 동안 나타나는 특성을 알아보고, 이를 바탕으로 육아지원정책 수립을 위한 시사점을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 위하여 유아교육을 전공하고 영유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니 7명을 대상으로 심층면담을 진행하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교육을 전공한 어머니들은 긍정적 기대감이 가득한 임신기를 보내는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아교육을 전공한 어머니들은 배운 대로, 경험한 대로 실천하는 육아를 위해 애쓰는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 유아교육을 전공한 어머니들은 사회관계 속 중심 리더로서 노력하는 모습을 보였다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 유아교육 전공자 어머니들에게 지역사회에 이바지할 수 있는 기회 제공, 육아 동영상 클립 제작 지원 및 공유를 통한 실질적 지식 공유, 유아교육 전공자 어머니 대상 맞춤형 부모교육 실시 등의 정책을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics of mothers majoring in early childhood education who have child-rearing experience and to offer suggestions for establishing childcare support policy based on them. To this end, in-depth interviews were conducted with seven mothers who were majoring in early childhood education and raising their children. The research results are as follows. First, mothers majoring in early childhood education spend their pregnancy years full of positive expectations. Second, they were found to be striving to provide good child care, as they learned and practiced. Third, they made efforts as central leaders in social relations. Based on the results of this study, we propose policies such as providing mothers majoring in early childhood education with opportunities to contribute to the community, sharing practical knowledge through the production and sharing of video clips on childcare, and providing customized education for those majoring in early childhood education.
