｢제3차 어린이집 표준보육과정｣에 대한 만 0-2세 영아반 보육교사의 인식 및 요구

Abstract

본 연구는 ｢제3차 어린이집 표준보육과정｣의 보급, 확산, 실행 실태와 만 0-2세 영아반 담당 보육교사들의 요구사항을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 전국을 6개 권역으로 구분하였고, 총 652명의 영아반 담당 보육교사가 설문에 참여하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 조사시점인 2014년 5월말 현재 54.5%가 해설서 및 지침서를 보유하고 있었고, 특히 읍면지역에 있는 어린이집의 영아반 보육교사가 해설서 및 지침서를 미소지한 비율이 높았고, 민간어린이집 영아반 보육교사 중 29%는 보유여부 자체를 모른다고 응답하였다. 또한 해설서 및 지침서를 소지하고 있다 하더라도 대부분의 보육교사는 적용에 있어 어려움을 느끼고 있었다. 둘째, ｢제3차 어린이집 표준보육과정｣의 이해도는 비교적 높게 도출되었으나, 영아반 경력 1년 미만인 교사의 평균값이 1년 이상 경력교사에 비해 낮게 도출되었다. 그리고 다른 기관유형에 비해 민간어린이집 영아반 보육교사들의 적용이 덜 충실한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 어린이집 표준보육과정에 기초한 영아보육 프로그램에 대해서는 대체로 만족하는 것으로 나타났으나, 영아평가의 결과 활용을 제대로 못하고 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 셋째, 보육교사들은 표준보육과정 운영의 내실화를 위해서는 담당교사의 처우 개선, 다양한 활동자료의 개발 및 보급, 보조인력 지원 강화 등이 선행되어야 한다고 요구하였다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the toddler teacher’s perception and needs for toddler classes' curriculum. We divided the country into six districts, and sampled a total of 652 teachers. Our research results were as follows. First, the percentage of toddler teachers who had the handbook and guideline was low. Even if teachers had the handbook and guideline, most toddler teachers had difficulties following them. Second, on average the comprehension rate of ｢The third Standard Curriculum for Childcare Centers in Korea｣was high, however, toddler teachers with less than one year of experience had a lower comprehension rate. Also, the application rate of teachers in the private sector was lower than teachers in other institutions. Third, toddler teachers requested an improved treatment of teachers, development and distribution of curricular activities and an increase of assistant staff to reinforce the standard curriculum.
