학령기 아동의 감정 측정을 위한 정서 어휘 선정 및 군집구조 분석: 3~6학년을 대상으로

Abstract

본 연구는 학령기 아동의 감정을 측정하기 위한 기초자료를 구축하고자, 정서 어휘를 체계적으로 선정하고 이들 어휘의 군집구조를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2016년과 2025년에 걸쳐 3단계의 조사와 분석을 수행하였다. 1차 조사에서는 선행연구를 검토해 예비 어휘를 추출하였고, 2차 조사(2016)에서는 초등학교 3~6학년을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시해 어휘의 신뢰도와 군집구조를 분석하고 대표 어휘를 선정하였다. 3차 조사(2025)에서는 9년의 시차를 두고 동일한 내용의 조사를 재수행하여 정서 어휘 구성 체계의 유효성을 검증하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정서 어휘는 긍정 정서와 부정 정서로 명확히 구분되며, 하위 차원에서는 의미적 유사성에 따라 군집화되는 구조를 보였다. 둘째, 선행연구 선정 빈도, 전반적 행복도와의 상관성, 어휘 이해도 등을 종합적으로 고려해 대표 어휘를 선정하였다. 셋째, 긍정 정서는 경험 빈도가 높을수록, 부정 정서는 경험 빈도가 낮을수록 전반적 행복도가 높아지는 경향을 나타냈다. 넷째, 2016년과 2025년 조사 결과 간에 높은 상관성을 보여 정서 구조의 시계열적 안정성이 확인되었다. 이러한 결과는 학령기 아동의 정서 측정을 위한 신뢰도 높은 어휘 기반을 제공하며, 특히 학교 현장에서의 사회정서 평가, 정서교육 프로그램 설계, 정신건강 지원 정책 등에 활용될 수 있는 기초자료로서 의의를 갖는다.

This study systematically selected emotional vocabulary and analyzed its cluster structure and temporal stability for measuring emotions in school-aged children. A three-stage research design was conducted in 2016 and 2025. Preliminary emotional terms were derived from a literature review, and a 2016 survey of students in grades 3–6 was used to examine reliability, identify cluster structures, and select representative terms. The same survey was repeated in 2025 to validate temporal stability. The findings are as follows. First, emotional vocabulary was structured into positive and negative dimensions, with sub-clusters based on semantic similarity. Second, representative terms were selected according to frequency in prior studies, correlations with overall happiness, and children’s comprehension. Third, frequent positive emotions and infrequent negative emotions were associated with higher overall happiness. Fourth, a high correlation between the 2016 and 2025 results confirmed temporal stability. These findings provide a foundation for developing measurement tools for children’s emotions and offer implications for emotional education and mental health policy.
