Elementary schools are currently applying revised 2015 curriculum considering core competencies, but revisions have not been made to the national Nuri Curriculum for Children at age 3 to 5, although the need to revise it steadily has been mentioned since its establishment. In this context, this study examined the direction of revision of the Nuri curriculum considered in connection with the revised 2015 elementary school curriculum and the national curriculum for child care centers, and proposed the revision of the Nuri curriculum for children at age 3 to 5. For this study, a task force was formed with 27 members including curriculum experts, childcare experts, early childhood education experts, curriculum area specialists, on-site specialist in kindergartens and childcare centers, the officials in Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health and Welfare to carry out revisions. The Nuri curriculum Amendment(draft) produced from this process was derived by written reviews of experts, workshops, on-site teachers' written reviews, and by accepting Korean scholars' opinions. As part of this study, future tasks were presented based on useful information to consider when revising the Nuri curriculum promoted by the Ministry of Education. And policy suggestions were made to improve the quality of early childhood education and care by setting the Nuri curriculum.
